Upgrade worth it!

Last year I purchased the first version of Kindle for my mother for 79 years. I wrote instructions on how to use it and she loves it. When the second version came out I looked over the specifications and decided that it was not worth upgrading. When Kindle DX came out I saw how much larger the screen was and I thought it might be worth looking into. I pre-ordered and when it arrived about 10 days ago I was happy I had ordered.
I gave my mother a few days ago along with my new transcription directions are much simpler than the directions for the first version. She was reluctant to accept nearly $ 500 version of something that already. But after a couple of days of use, she decided it was worth the upgrade. Not only is the much bigger screen, navigation is much easier than the first version. I like that little 5-way control button! In general, both are very happy. Now, I just hope that does not have an even better, before getting the value of use from this year!

This is my first Kindle and I'm completely in love! The Kindle DX is big enough that I can expand the text so that I did not need my reading glasses and there is still enough text on the screen to make reading enjoyable.
I like that when I finish a book, I order a new one and you get literally in less than a minute. I'm reading books I never bought in hard copy and find new authors. I travel a lot and used to pack several books, now I just put my Kindle in my bag and have an unlimited library. Very cool.
One thing I have learned is that if I use my laptop's USB port to charge the Kindle, I needed to expel the Kindle not only turn off my laptop. Otherwise, the Kindle is frozen and I hang up the laptop and expulsion. Most people do not have this problem, I just need to conserve precious hotel outlets.
I find the Kindle wider, from easy to carry (with leather cover) and very easy to read. I only had a week and I never want to read thick books again. I totally recommend buying one!
